History
We are one of the oldest law firms in the field of intellectual property law in Germany. The law firm continued the tradition of a very old Berlin law firm in Osnabrück after the second world war, where Fritz Busse initially worked with one associate and later on alone as the only patent law firm in Osnabrück. Fritz Busse’s sons Volker Busse and Dietrich Busse then successfully continued the law firm as his successors. Since that time, the scope of activities and the size of the law firm has increased continuously as further attorneys joined the firm.
This growth was also the reason why the law firm moved in 1976 from the city center of Osnabrück to its present location in Osnabrück Fledder into a more spacious office building which is also better accessible for out-of-town clients. The law firm has since then been located in the direct neighborhood of many commercial enterprises and with good traffic connections to highways A30 and A33.
The law firm has five partners by now, who have been members of the firm for many years, and who are supported by additional lawyers.
While the law firm’s activities in its the first years concentrated on deep drilling technology, automotive and industrial truck engineering, and agricultural machinery, the field of activity has expanded over the years to cover nearly all technical fields. The firm therefore also has specialists with a corresponding technical education.
At almost all relevant courts in Germany and many international courts, we have represented our clients in outstanding trials in patent, utility patent, design and trademark infringement proceedings in the past and have led numerous nullity actions.
